Colloquia

HSD Colloquium

In Fall 2008, HSD Colloquium, History and Philosophy of Science Lab Group, and Bioethics, Policy, and Law lab group will meet jointly on Mondays from noon to 1:30 in Live Sciences A-wing, Room 101. Please join us for this open meeting designed to create opportunities for the exchange of ideas among all members of the HSD and Biology and Society communites. The series will include a range of activities, such as student or faculty member presentations, community discussions, or outside speakers. To strengthen the interdisciplinary character of the programs, the series may, periodically, meet jointly with one or more other programs (e.g., the SoLS Seminar or CSPO Enlightening Lunch), to take advantage of speakers or events of mutual interest.

The series is offered for one credit as HSD 610: Colloquium, BIO 591: History and Philosopy of Science Seminar, and HPS 591: History and Philosophy of Science Seminar. Students enrolled in the HSD doctoral degree are required to accumulate at least four credits of HSD 610.
